What's next for the Cashmere Connoisseur? Lularoe!

Ever since I discovered my first piece of cashmere, I've been hooked. The same thing happened when I tried my first pair of designer jeans and bought my first Louis Vuitton purse. Sometimes you just get struck with something and you can't get enough! The same thing happened when I tried on my first piece of Lularoe clothing... HOLY COW was it flattering AND comfortable. Those two don't often go together. So, I decided in October 2016 to join the company and WOW have I been having a great time!!

If you haven't heard of Lularoe, I would love to introduce you to the brand. I now sell clothing for women, kids, and even men! Sizes range from 2T - 3XL and even though we have a bunch of different styles to pick from, they are ALL comfortable! Every single one, I tell ya!

Not only am I having a blast with my wardrobe again (hello, frumpy maternity clothes I kept wearing because I didn't feel like I "deserved" new clothes [since I was still carrying around baby weight]. UGH. Why do we do that to ourselves, mamas? Stop it. Just stop.) but I've met the friendliest, kindest, and big-hearted people out there. I am feeling good about myself for the first time in a long time and it's overdue for you to feel the same way if you don't already. If you find my pages from this blog, tell me you found me via the Cashmere Connoisseur Blog for a special discount on your first purchase. 'Cause, I appreciate the fact that you're reading this and then clicking on these links...

Cashmere Creations Hiatus

Fellow Cashmere Lovers,

It is with great sadness that I must (temporarily) close my cashmere business: Cashmere Creations. With my current work schedule, two children, starting a new company, etc. etc. etc., it's become too much for me to handle. It has been great fun and I hope to reopen in the future! Until then, all orders are officially CLOSED for Cashmere Creations.

Thank you all for your support of business for the last 13 years!

NEW Cashmere Creations coming soon!

Hey blogland!

Most of you know that I have another website called Cashmere Creations where I currently sell Upcycled Cashmere Teddy Bears and Owls, etc. Well, I'm excited to announce that I'm moving into the children's wearables market! I will be making pieces and selling them ready-to-ship instead of custom orders like the bears are, currently (which have a long turn around time since it's all done by ME, start to finish, in the middle of nap times and my other jobs/mom duties). Anyway, keep your eyes peeled for new merchandise! Think infinity scarves and chic little bibs with vintage accents... I'm excited to show you!

Happy Holidays!

Cleaning out the connoisseur's closet...

Many of you may have seen my post of what my cashmere collection looks like... I call it a collection (#denial) but a more accurate term is probably: HOARD. I'm an organized hoarder. They're all in rainbow order neatly stacked on shelves (I wouldn't DREAM of hanging them! *gasp*) with labels of what color the stack is supposed to be. Overkill, yes. Does it make my OCD happy? Yes'm!

Anyway, I'm looking to get rid of some of the collection *ahem* hoard... So tell me: what size are you? What type of sweater are you looking for? Need some cashmere scraps to make some kind of fiber art with? Let me know! I'd love to pass along some of my pieces to new homes. Time to clear out some space and make way for the loads of baby stuff we have now.

That's right, I'm a mommy! Two little kiddos now. One which is only 6 weeks old! My girl is 2 and my little man is about the same size as my 2-year old. LOL. Send me a message through my website with what you're looking for and I'll let you know if I have it :o)

I answer EVERY email through my website, so if you don't hear back from me, send it again, k? If I haven't answered you within a week it means it got lost in the inbox full of junk mail or read at a 3 am feeding and promptly forgotten about. Thanks friends! Happy Summer!

J Crew Baby Cashmere

Well, J Crew has done it again: made amazingly cute cashmere sweaters for little kiddos. If only I could afford to shell out $145 on four or five (ok, twelve) cashmere sweaters for my sweet little girl. The problem is, she's a rough and tumble little girl and at just 19 mos she's managed to ding herself up quite a bit. She loves to RUN and consequently, gets dirty. I just can't spend that much on something that might not make it past one wear. But, you should. Seriously. Especially if you have a little man who happens to be in the infant stage where they don't move around a lot, but have stopped spitting up. In which case, BLOW YOUR MONEY ON THIS:

J. Crew has this on backorder, but it's expected to ship November 10th. Whoop-de-doo a whopping two week wait. Worth it! And it's 25% off of $145 right now and you should have it. You just should. It's French, it's adorable, and will make everyone smile. And make you want to snuggle your little man more than you already do because cashmere just does that to people. You're welcome. And PS, sell it to me when you're done because I have a nephew who is going to be born early December who will be an angel baby and never spit up on his cashmere sweaters. Thanks! ;o)

The Swash...

As I was browsing through by Bed Bath & Beyond flyer today I saw something that might just change my life... the SWASH.

We don't have regular cable television in our house and so maybe I've just missed commercials for this thing? I don't know. But what I DO know, is that it claims to be an option in between washing and dry cleaning clothing. AND it's safe on cashmere! Or so they say... And I saw it for the first time in the ad for Bed Bath & Beyond this week. Be still my heart.

I would LOVE to get my hands on one of these things and test it out on some cashmere and see how it compares to hand washing and dry-cleaning. It might end up being a great option for those who are too scared to hand wash, don't have a good HE machine with a hand wash cycle, etc. I wonder if I can find a model on display somewhere and give it a try?

Anyone have any insights on this amazing thing?!

Bed Bath & Beyond has it for sale for $499. I'm not sure I can get my husband on board for such an extravagant purchase but boy do I want one! It looks like it will be the start of some really cool clothing care technology. Like the iPhone 6, it's amazing me what technology is doing these days.

So, if anyone has one of these and has tried it out in person, PLEASE SHARE! I'm dying to know what you think of it for your cashmere pieces ;o)
